The Wick and Warren branding project was about crafting an identity for a candle company that speaks to the elevated, sophisticated customer who appreciates the finer things in life. Our task was to design a visual identity that communicated luxury without being ostentatious, relying on subtle details, elegant typography, and a rich color palette. The goal was to evoke a sense of timelessness and high quality, which reflects the company’s commitment to producing artisanally crafted candles. Each element of the brand was created to resonate with those seeking a calm and enriching experience through carefully curated aesthetics.
The central thought behind the Wick and Warren branding was to create a brand that embodies the essence of modern luxury while holding on to a rich heritage of craftsmanship. We envisioned Wick and Warren as a brand that offers more than candles—it provides moments of tranquility and introspection. Inspired by classical design principles and premium materiality, the branding was approached with a clean, minimalist design philosophy. Every design decision, from the typography to the logo mark, aimed to strike a balance between traditional elegance and contemporary aesthetics, ensuring that the brand would feel at home in both modern and classic settings.
Our approach to Wick and Warren’s branding was to fuse high-end aesthetics with approachable luxury. We began by developing a sophisticated logo that balances the interplay of bold typography and an understated symbol. This was complemented by a carefully curated color palette of muted earth tones, symbolizing warmth and purity. The packaging was meticulously designed to reflect the tactile nature of the candles themselves, with a focus on texture, weight, and detailing. By using matte finishes, embossed lettering, and subtle metallics, we created an unboxing experience that would delight the senses and reflect the brand’s high-quality standards. Throughout, the goal was to create a brand identity that would convey a timeless sense of calm, tranquility, and premium luxury to resonate deeply with the target audience.
