The Willowbrook Tennis Circle project required crafting a brand that captured the elegance and tradition of tennis, while infusing it with a modern aesthetic to engage both seasoned players and newcomers. The brief was to design a timeless brand identity that reflects the club’s heritage, dedication to excellence, and inclusive values. Our scope covered visual identity creation, from logo design to promotional materials, website visuals, and signage, all designed to encapsulate the feeling of belonging to a prestigious yet welcoming club.
Our thinking behind the Willowbrook Tennis Circle brand was rooted in the elegance and history of tennis, a sport that symbolizes discipline, grace, and competition. We aimed to design an identity that could communicate these values visually while remaining inviting and contemporary. The design inspiration drew from vintage tennis posters and the refined aesthetics of old-world country clubs, reinterpreted for modern sensibilities. We wanted the brand to feel classic yet fresh, evoking the crisp feeling of stepping onto a freshly cut grass court, but with a nod to the club’s modern approach to the sport.
We approached the Willowbrook Tennis Circle branding by focusing on creating a harmonious balance between the old and new. The logo design uses a bold, yet refined “W” monogram that symbolizes both the strength and heritage of the club. We utilized a deep, rich green and complementary earthy tones to give the brand a sense of tradition and stability, while the use of modern typefaces and clean lines brought in the contemporary touch.
